Computer Recycling - Goodwill and Dell Reconnect Program

Dell Goodwill Reconnect allianceSince June of 2009, Goodwill Industries of Denver and Dell have partnered to recycle unused computer equipment through its Reconnect Program. Working electronics are sold to support Goodwill’s community programs that seek to reverse the cycle of poverty through career preparation and skills training. Devices in need of repair  are broken down into parts to be recycled by Dell.

IMPACT

In 2011 over 4,500,000 pounds of televisions, computers and computer peripherals were recycled in metro Denver and northern Colorado! Rather than allowing the toxins contained in these products to enter landfills, Goodwill Denver ensures that all e-waste is disposed of in way that helps protect our environment.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

  • Drop off computer equipment at your nearby Goodwill regardless of the brand and condition of the equipment.
  • Consumers are responsible for removing all personal data prior to donation.
  • Donors will receive a tax receipt.
